As a Calligrapher I have always enjoyed the marks made by the pen, the shine of the wet ink upon the page, the feel of the sharp nib against the texture of the paper; the making of a fine page of lettering.
Calligraphy is an art that connects the physical and the mental. There is a joy in the making and a contemplative aspect to the art that is calming and stilling in this busy world.
I trained at Reigate School of Art and Design, in Calligraphy, Heraldry and Illumination in the early 1970’s. Since the early 1980’s I have built up a reputation across the country teaching adult education classes, residential summer schools, primary school and calligraphy society workshops.
An inspiring calendar of workshops is available throughout the year where small groups can be taught, enabling individual help for all abilities.
